Coming into the holiday, carefully consider any gifts of rabbits or chicks or ducks. After the "Oh wow!" moment, these animals need to be cared for properly. When the weight of responsibility kicks in, these animals are often released in the wild.
Ducks that look cute dyed for the holiday are often attacked by other ducks who don't understand the coloring. Chicks grow into chickens and demand a lot for proper housing and nutrition, as do rabbits. Rabbits can live an average of 6 years.
So, enjoy the holiday, but please be thoughtful about how animals and pets fit in!
